This itinerary provides a wonderful in-depth journey through Northern Botswana.
The camps visited are all in remote concessions and offer exposure to different ecosystems within the region and fabulous wild-life viewing in the company of a small number of like-minded travelers.
All camps are extremely comfortable, offering 3-10 spacious tents or thatched chalets with full ensuite bathroom facilities, fullsized beds and private decks or patios.
Public areas of the camps are situated to offer wonderful views over the surrounding plains and waterways, cozy corners for browsing through the extensive natural history libraries and friendly relaxed bar/lounge/dining areas.
Activities vary by location: this itinerary provides opportunities for game drives in open vehicles (maximum 7 guests per vehicle), walks with highly trained naturalists and various kinds of boating.
Two nights in the Victoria Falls/Livingstone area at the end of the itinerary allow the safari traveler to ease back into "civilization", pick up souvenirs at the crafts market, participate in some of the many activities available and experience the wonder of "The Smoke that Thunders" - world famous Victoria Falls.
SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 1
Depart USA.
Day 2
Arrive Johannesburg. You will be met and transferred to The Grace Hotel in Rosebank. One night B&B.
Day 3 - 5
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Maun, Botswana. You will be met on arrival and transferred to Jao*, Vumbura Plains*, Xigera, Kwetsani, Tubu Tree, Jacana, Little Vumbura or Seba Camp. Three nights all inclusive.
Day 6 - 8
Transfer by light aircraft to Chitabe, Chitabe Lediba, Duba Plains* or Mombo* in (or bordering) the Moremi Game Reserve. Three nights all inclusive.
Day 9 -11
Transfer by light aircraft to Kings Pool*, DumaTau, Savuti, Selinda or Zibadianja* in the Linyanti River Region, bordering Chobe National Park. Three nights all inclusive.
Day 12 - 13
Transfer by light aircraft to Kasane airport in the northeast corner of Botswana and from on to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe or Livingstone, Zambia. Two nights basis.
Day 14
Transfer to the airport for your flights home.
Day 15
Arrive USA.

What is generally included (your final itinerary will have specific details):
All accommodation on a shared basis, meals, excursions and transfers as indicated in the itinerary, drinks and laundry at many camps and lodges, light aircraft transfers, all game drives, services of lodge guides and staff, park fees, and the transport of up 44lbs of baggage in soft bags (depending on itinerary).
What is generally not included:
International and intra-Africa scheduled airfares (which can be quoted separately), cancellation/trip interruption, medical evacuation, baggage and medical insurance, personal items such as laundry and drinks, gratuities to camp staff and guides, passport and visa expenses, airport departure taxes and landing fees, any future taxes which may be assessed.
