Masai Mara
The Masai Mara Reserve on the southwest boundary of Kenya
and one of
Africa's finest places to witness the tense and dramatic interactions
of wildlife. The Mara has become familiar since it has been depicted in
so many nature films with it's abundance of wildlife making game drives
and balloon safaris so rewarding.
There are many tented camps or lodges but suggest those listed below:
Governors' Camp and Little Governors' Camp
These are perhaps the most famous properties in the Mara. Both offer
luxurious tented accommodations, outstanding food and service, and
spectacular game viewing. Ballooning, walks and excursions to Mfangano
Island Camp on Lake Victoria are among the options available.
Mara Serena Lodge
Is an interpretation of a traditional Masai Manyatta village of domed
huts. This full service lodge is set high on a hill giving spectacular
views overlooking the rolling plains, woodlands and rivers that make up
the Mara Triangle.
