Mauritius is a large mountainous island in the Indian Ocean to the east of Madagascar.  It is ringed with coral reefs and boasts powder white beaches.  The island has a highly developed tourist infrastructure, and features excellent resorts of international standard offering a full range of watersports, world-class golf courses, tennis courts and entertainment. The island is most easily reached from South Africa and makes an ideal destination for post-safari beach time.
